Bob Dicke's ex-BRE 2000

Heading for victory

Victory lap

July 2000 - Bob Dicke enjoys a class victory at Blackhawk Farms - Bob celebrates the win with his son Rob.

In 2000 Bob only made the one race. The weekend did not start well as he broke an axle in qualifying. Thankfully, a previous owner had welded the press on collar to the axle or he would have lost the whole wheel. He did not have a spare axle at the track, but living only 50 miles from Blackhawk, he was able to go home and fetch one. There was very little time to make the change and Bob unfortunately cut an oil seal in the process, causing oil to soak the brake lining. In Bob's own words: "We were fortunate that there was not much competition, and victory was ours."
