The straight at Road Atlanta, 1982

Roberto Lorenzutti is placed 2nd behind Joe - Joe was later to campaign Roberto's Datsun 1600 in return for an engine build - see later gallery pictures. Joe notes:-

"One of my most interesting races was 1982. I only led once and that was on the last lap. I had run 2nd, 3rd and 4th through most of the race but Davis, the leader, got wide in turn one on the last lap and that gave me the opening I needed to go on and win".
