Mike Young wins Best of Show at 26th Anniversary Mt. Shasta Datsun Roadster Meet

By Greg Valazza, posted July 13, 2010

Mike drove SRL311-00226 up from San Francisco to win the coveted Best of Show award. The car showed Mike's attention to detail and had all the right rare parts that make a 1967 2000 unique.

It was great to see everyone again including special guests from Japan: Shigeyuki Hirai and Kou and Hitomi Satou. I also got to meet Junichi Oyama who had registered one of the first cars in the DATSUN.ORG Registry back in 1998 when he and SRL311-00573 were in Japan. He had originally bought the car in the US, but had moved it with him to Japan after 16 years of living in the US. After spending some time in Japan, he moved back to California a couple years back and brought the car with him. It was good to finally meet him and see his car in person for the first time.
