Although the Fairlady series is written in Japanese, the photos alone make these books worthwhile. Volume 1 is a pictorial history of the 1600, 2000, Silvia, and 240Z. Includes detailed statistics and illustrations.

Fairlady Volume 2 Fairlady Volume 2.  Japan: Neko Publishing Co., Ltd., 1995.
Volume 2 of the Fairlady series covers early Nissan race history. A chapter details Nissan's entry of the Datsun 2000 in the 1968 Monte Carlo Rally. (English translation available in Datsun Roadster Review (11/89). The volume is one of the few sources of roadster production numbers.

A relatively new addition to the Illustrated Buyer's Guide series which covers the entire line of Nissan cars imported into the U.S. Coverage of the Datsun 2000 is adequate with a four page chapter devoted to the car, but the book does not differentiate 67 2000 features from later 2000's aside from a brief mention of the 150hp competition kit.

A small book with history, racing photos, stats, and a model identification guide. In the chapter devoted to the Roadster, the author seems to dwell on the car's shortcomings which might be a reflection of the period when the book was published.

A detailed history of the Nissan Motor company with a number of tables and charts, but only a few photos. The book seems to be well researched and while no specific info is presented on the Roadster, an exhaustive list of sources makes the book a nice addition to a collector's library.
